Join Seattle IPA on Friday, March 12 as we attend Stations of the Cross at Sacred Heart Parish near Seattle Center to remember and re-live the events of the final stage of Christ's earthly journey.
As Pope John Paul II said in his meditations on the Stations on Good Friday in 2000, "We are here because we are convinced that the Way of the Cross of the Son of God was not simply a journey to the place of execution. We believe that every step of the Condemned Christ, every action and every word, as well as everything felt and done by those who took part in this tragic drama, continues to speak to us. In his suffering and death too, Christ reveals to us the truth about God and man."
Afterward (around 7:30), we'll head to Ivar's Acres of Clams restaurant on the Waterfront (Happy Hour! Half off appetizers! Fish!). We'll try to make a reservation beforehand, so be sure to respond via our Facebook event if you plan on coming. And BRING CASH so we can attempt to dilute the bill-paying chaos.
